High potential and gifted education

Some students learn faster and more easily than others. These students may shine in creativity, thinking, leadership or sport.

At our school, we recognise and nurture these strengths early. We support advanced learners with great lessons and activities to help them grow and thrive.

Why choose us for your high potential or gifted child?

Recognising potential and developing talent

Our teachers find potential and nurture our students to be the best they can be.

Tailored lessons

Each student has different abilities. Teachers respond to each student’s ability by providing extra challenges and extension activities to keep learning exciting and engaging.

Rich opportunities and activities

Opening doors to wider experiences

Our students can participate in a wide range of state-wide programs that aim to extend and enrich student potential.

What is high potential and gifted education?

High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) is how our school supports students with advanced learning needs.

We do this through:

Our high potential and gifted education opportunities

Our students can take part in HPGE opportunities in the classroom, in our school, and across NSW.

In our classroom
At Krambach Public School, high potential and gifted education (HPGE) begins in every classroom. Our dedicated teachers make tailored adjustments within regular lessons to extend and challenge students through enriched activities that cater to their individual strengths. We focus on identifying students across the four HPGE domains—academic, creative, social, and physical—and provide targeted support to nurture their talents. With the guidance of our specialised HPGE teacher, classroom educators are equipped to recognise and foster giftedness, ensuring every student’s potential is maximised from day one.
Across our school
As a small but dynamic school, we pride ourselves on a strong, school-wide commitment to HPGE. For the past seven years, our specialised HPGE teacher has delivered a comprehensive enrichment program that spans all year groups, offering students opportunities to deepen their learning and engage in challenging activities beyond the classroom. Our robust identification process ensures that students are carefully selected for these programs based on their abilities across the four domains. We celebrate outstanding student achievements in diverse areas—from art exhibitions held in prestigious galleries across NSW to winning the statewide Game Changer Challenge. In sport, we employ specialised coaches who not only enhance skill development but also help identify students with exceptional potential, working closely with families to support ongoing growth beyond school hours.
Across NSW
Krambach Public School actively connects with broader HPGE initiatives across NSW to provide our students with enriching experiences and recognition at the state level. Our students have had the privilege of showcasing their talents in statewide art galleries and competing successfully in high-profile competitions such as the Game Changer Challenge. We encourage participation in external programs and events that challenge and inspire our gifted students to reach new heights. Through these connections, our school continues to foster a culture of excellence and aspiration, ensuring that even as a small rural school, our students have access to the same opportunities as those in larger metropolitan areas.
